Joe Colbert, the original nickel plater, has moved and the service has been taken over by his brother Kevin Colbert. A putter that has been through the service results in a rust-free durable putter with a satin non-glare finish. This service can be applied to any metal putter, including those with metal inserts. The process begins with the shaft being pulled. Next, the putter is bead blasted and then nickel plated. The shaft is then reinstalled. Finally, the stampings are refilled with any of the following colors: black, white, red, colbalt blue, yellow, green, or gold. The plating seals the putter and stops it from rusting. Colbert indicates that through normal use, the finish will not wear through. The plating does not affect the putter's swingweight and customers indicate that there is little change in feel.
